- Prime Minister Manmohan Singh departed to Cannes, France on eve of the G20 summit.
- Grievance Redressal Bill will be passed as a compliment to Lok pal bill to curb corruption. This bill addresses the grievances of the common man related to public service. This will cover functioning of Panchayats, government and police.
International
- US dropped to 23rd place in adjustment for inequality in the recent U.N development index. Norway is the first in Human development index as well as inequality adjustment. It is followed by Australia in both. India ranks 164 in Human development index.
Business and Economy
- Pakistan granted Most favored Nation (MFN) status to India. India has already given this status to Pakistan in the year 1995. This move might increase bilateral trade between the countries.
- Google initiated free website offer to Small and Medium business (SMB) in India.

- Aging is slowed down by caloric reduction. This happens due to the enzyme peroxiiredoxin.
