Important US Operations of recent times
- Operation Neptune Spear- US operation which killed Osama Bin Laden (also will be referred as Operation in Abbottabad or Operation Geronimo).
- Operation Odyssey Dawn – US and other coalition forces bombing in Libya.
- Operation New Dawn – US war in Iraq is renamed so in 2010. It was previously referred to as Operation Iraqi Freedom/ Second Gulf War.
- Operation Uphold Democracy – US operation in Haiti
- Operation Enduring Freedom – War in Afghanistan (also a collective name for ‘War on Terror’ in Afghanistan, Philippines, Horn of Africa, Pankisi Gorge, Trans Sahara, Caribbean and Central America and Kyrgyzstan). Operation Enduring Freedom in Philippines was previously called Operation Freedom Eagle.
